 Legacy Wood is located in eastern Lee's Summit on Langsford Road. It is adjacent to the beautiful 700-acre Legacy Park on Blackwell Parkway.

| Legacy Wood is so much more than a new subdivision – it is the realization of a family’s dream. Over 50 years ago, Clarence and Thelma Wood purchased this acreage. At the time, the location was considered “in the country” as Langsford was nothing more than a gravel road. Several years later, they built a home on the land, as did their son Paul and his wife Mary. They farmed and raised cattle but always had a vision that someday the city would come out to Langsford Road. In the 1990's, Paul began the process of developing the land into an area that others could enjoy as much as he has all his life. Now, Grandpa Woody’s dream is coming true, creating a family-oriented community for the people of Lee’s Summit and a lasting legacy for the Wood family. We present Legacy Wood with great pride from our family to yours.
